I have used a variety of plastic free water bottles since 2002 when my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and she has disposed of all our plastic in the comfort of her own home. Over the years I've found many things I like and dislike about the ones I've used, particularly the double insulated walls. The first thing that struck me about this bottle is that it's slightly textured for a better grip. It also means the color lasts better and longer than my previous ones. The next thing I noticed was that the floor was different than what I had used before. The seal seems to be much better protected than on my other bottles. I've always preferred the sporty top of an open top, but in this case the smaller spout and wide filling opening made a big difference. I filled it with loose leaf tea for the first time because I wanted to test the tea strainer it contained and was very impressed. None of the pieces of tea got into my mouth and the tea was made at the same time as my coffee at 6:45 that morning and I didn't start drinking it until 11am and it was just as hot as and when it was prepared. I had my last drink around 1pm and it was the perfect temperature to drink. (I started it very hot knowing I wasn't going to drink it right away, which wasn't necessary as it didn't start to cool down until I opened the bottle to drink it.) I'm very impressed and will be making more of other sizes to buy!
