I didn't know these hard plastic soles are bonded with grippy rubber on the base. The grip rubber doesn't feel very thick and I'm skeptical as to what they will be like once the rubber wears out. I bought them to wear to the gym and I hope they don't tear the treadmill. They are surprisingly comfortable due to the lack of cushions. I'm not sure how long I'll be wearing them before I swap them out.
