The mouse works well, but the number pad is annoying. I work from a laptop and enter a lot of numbers at work. But I also walk back and forth all the time, so I'm not always at my laptop. If you don't use it for a while and it goes into "sleep mode", the first number you dialed won't register and you'll have to go back and fix it. Until then, I usually dial 5 to 6 digits. But if you're always at your laptop/device and typing "numbers" all the time, this combination should work just fine for you.
