I just received my bag and the other reviewers were right - the bag has a strong chemical smell that reminds me of smells from different types of plastic or leather. There is no specification on the inside of the bag to indicate it is leather and none of the paper labels list leather. Shame as the bag looks good, is well made and has many pockets (some with zips). The handle is long enough to carry it like a shoulder bag and keep it secure in your hand. The zipper has large teeth and can cause scratches if not cleaned properly. The top and side zippers seemed to be stuck. I would pay a little more to have this genuine leather design. Note: I will probably return the bag if the smell doesn't go away within the next few days.
