Review on Shock Doctor Mouth Guard Strapless by Aaron Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A thin cap that offers good protection. Easy to talk while using.

I ordered this mouthguard and the Shock Doctor Gel Max Convertible. I first used the Gel Max Guard and find it offers better protection/comfort for my teeth, but it is bulkier and makes it more difficult to speak to. This Shock Doctor Pro guard is thinner which allows me to speak more clearly when in use, but my concern is that it doesn't protect my teeth as well. Installation was very easy and I didn't have to do anything. Just follow the instructions on the packaging. Boil the water, remove the water from the stove, immerse the mouthguard in the water for exactly 12 seconds, then take it out and place it snugly in your mouth. Biting and pressing fingers against teeth/gums. Breathe in with your mouth closed to create suction that will help shape it. Once you feel it has formed the way you want, take it out immediately and place it in cold water. I use this mouthguard for softball and this does the job. I can speak more clearly so when playing a position that doesn't require a lot of talking I use the Gel Max Guard for more protection.
