While the pillow is excellent! Upon arrival you will be given clear instructions on how to care for your pillow. You need to put it in the dryer for 10 minutes to fluff it up and then remove the stuffing to the desired stiffness. I didn't take the pen because I wanted to use it "as is" for a few nights first. The pillow is heavy and has a large volume. My neck felt pretty good with this pillow. I have neck problems, that's the first thing I noticed. I usually sleep on my back and have found the pillow to provide good support for my head and neck. In the future I may have to remove some of the padding because it's a bit unwieldy now. Although of course it will condense a bit with use. You can also wash the pillow to bring it back to life! If I run into any issues after using this pillow for a long time, I will update this review.
