our cat... our cat doesn't care. He will lie next to the bed and sleep next to it. It was like that for weeks. I felt like I wasted my money and I was offended that it seemed like I was wrong. Several times I tried to get him into bed hoping that once inside he would see the wonders of her softness but to no avail. He just ran away and got mad at me for trying to take him. (He hates it.) A few weeks ago, he realized that a half-full duffel bag under the bed is a great, soft place to sleep. It was very cute, but all the clothes were covered in cat hair. THEN I had the brilliant idea of combining this bed with his favorite hiding place – under the bed. He went to bed like a fish to water. We really missed him because that first day he realized that there is a nice soft cat cave right in his favorite hiding place, he stayed there for hours, slept very happily, he wasn't bothered at all by people trying to force him to play him . It remains one of his favorite sleeping spots weeks later, which is great for him because most of the time it's left alone (apart from the occasional check-in when I lisp at how cute he is) and it's pretty darn soft too. Also, my cat weighs 16 pounds. He's a big guy. He feels absolutely comfortable in this cat cave, he can lie down completely in it, lean on the side and often use the front part as a chin rest. He's so damn cold in this bed. I recommend it.
