The larger of the two molds provided is just the right size for the onigiri I bought from Konbini in Japan . Molds work well if you moisten the mold before each pressing and turn over before handling glutinous rice. I'm a little worried about the stability of the "release button" at the bottom of the mold, but I think if you press lightly and shake a little, it should hold up to repeated use. My suggested course of action: 1. Wet the mold and fingers with water before each pressing.2. Loosely place the sticky rice in a large bowl. If using a filling, fill it halfway. Otherwise fill out the form above. Ensure even distribution, but do not compact.3. If using a filling, use a wet finger to make a small cup in the bottom half of the rice. Add toppings. Spread sticky rice on top to fill in the rest of the shape.4. Line up the smaller cup with the larger one and press for a few moments so the two pieces are fully closed. While gently shaking to ensure the rice is free, remove the smaller cup.6. Turn over a large mug. Also, while shaking gently, press the "release button" to push the formed rice away from the bottom of the mold. Continue shaking gently to completely release the formed rice from the mold. Hold the rice with wet fingers and wrap the nori for your desired onigiri presentation.
