Review on ๐Ÿ  Enhanced Reefs: Remotely Controlled Dimmable LED Aquarium Light for Saltwater and Freshwater Fish Tanks - Timer and Multi-Function Settings - by Relassy by Erica Noble

Slim and beautiful but not 300w

I like the design and the fact that it's super quiet. But it is by no means 300 watts. At the same time I bought another lamp, 165W, which was brighter. And my old 72w bulb was actually just as bright as the "165w" bulb. So both companies are lying about the release, but this one is much bigger. I assume they mean there are 100 3w LEDs in the fixture. But this is very dubious advertising. Because even the input power is less than 300 watts. The LED is probably running at 1W, so the fixture is only 100W. It's a way to stay cool without fans. You have to be honest with the light and then it will be a good light. Also, he has a remote control, but he doesn't have full control over the light. You can just set the output to a white-blue and very primitive timer. If you need 10 o'clock light, you're out of luck. If you want mixed light during the day and blue in the evening. Forget it. The two channels must have independent timers and report actual light output. Or PAR. Then there will be a great light.
