I needed a replacement zipper for my winter jacket and this zipper fits. I had no problems with non-metals before. After paying for the installation, the 'teeth' of the zippers broke the second time I put the jacket on (actually the first time as I tried it on after it was finished) and the zipper actually unzipped. I had to buy another zipper, this time metal, I paid to have that zipper removed and a new one fitted. It may work for some jackets, but I would strongly advise against using it for most, especially winter jackets, although it does work for winter jackets. Low quality. Very light in weight and strength. Normally I would return it but between getting a replacement, removing this one and installing a new one I just wrote it off as a loss.
