This product has proven itself. It frizzed my hair slightly and I really enjoyed using it. However, due to MY mistake, my hair got stuck in it. I was half asleep and accidentally got too close to my scalp causing it to twist tightly in the barrel and I couldn't get it out. After about 5 seconds of panic and what felt like an eternity of not getting my hair off, I turned off the curlers and ran to my poor sleeping husband for help. It took a few minutes before he could get it out of my hair. We thought we would have to cut it otherwise the hair would burn if we could remove it. They weren't burned at all! I quickly unplugged it and surprisingly it cooled down very quickly. I'm so thankful my hair isn't ruined. However, I wish there was some sort of safety feature to prevent hair from getting caught in the first place. I've found that I don't want to use it now for fear of screwing it up again. However, if you really know what you're doing with this type of element, you probably won't have any problems with it. He did his job well.
