My boy has always wanted to sit in the front seat but his size (60#) + car movements made him uncomfortable and unsafe. It fits perfectly and presses against the dashboard for stability. He won't move. The pillow sits on a platform made of hard plastic pieces. Luckily, these plastic pieces snap into the fabric so they can be easily removed to make them deeper. It's actually just a bit sturdier than a fabric-covered box with a cushion and a strap for attaching to a seat belt (can't be used in this position, just like that). I wish I had come up with this concept when I was looking for this years ago! Suggestions for improvement? Some padding around the inner drawer and on the sides that can be lowered for the dog to jump in and then close (but I don't think it's necessary for small dogs - my boy gets in the back seat and then climbs in).
