Good news and bad news

First of all. Both the box and label of this collection of wireframe cube pieces have a photograph showing the cubes fitted side by side, with a polyester shelf mounted on each square of the common grid panel in between. However, the instructions state that adjacent cubes will NOT have poly shelves on each square of the grid, since there is not enough space on a square of the common grid plate between the cubes for the S-hooks that hang the poly shelves to fit. This is true as I have tried. How did the manufacturer manage to assemble side-by-side cubes with polypropylene shelves, suspended from each square of ordinary lattice plates? They do not share this information. This is clearly misleading advertising at best and this annoys me greatly as I wanted my dice to be configured as a contiguous stack 3 dice wide by 3 dice high. In reality, this is only possible if shelves are installed on every second square of the grid panel. This is unacceptable and a lot of space is wasted when storing 12x12 paper. This also deserves a mention. The kit did not have enough S-shaped hooks to install all of the shelves' panels. There was enough polyethylene shelving to fill two cubes of 12x12 shelving but short 16 hooks. I have ordered more polyester shelves from Revain and they are being delivered today as I write this. I hope they are also missing the right amount of S hooks. Since the hooks are plastic and designed specifically for the task, standard hardware store metal S-hooks won't work. The plastic shelves were totally dirty. They were smeared all over with fingerprints and handprints on a graphite-like material. Some poly plates also had dried residue from the spilled liquid. With the help of a couple of Fantastks and half a roll of paper towels, however, the records were quickly cleared. I chose not to use the metal plates for the bulletin board as pictured, instead using them for the bottom and top plates of my stacks. After putting them together both ways, I feel like that using the metal plates in this way has made my stacks of cubes more durable. I didn't fall off the connectors like other buyers. I paid special attention to the direction of the leads in the connectors before connecting them. (This isn't mentioned in the instructions.) I also made sure the corners of the board were fully seated in the slots. It is important. After careful and proper assembly, my stacks of 3 cubes are very strong and not flimsy at all. I like the gray color. It goes great with my white Elfa wire basket furniture. So now I have two separate stacks, each 3 cubes high, and pieces for a third. Nowhere in the instructions or on the label is it indicated where you can buy additional parts and accessories, although these are stated and listed on the label. Revain has polypropylene shelf packs and connector packs but does not list optional wire mesh tops or mesh baskets and other accessories shown. I'm still looking online for more chicken wire panels and S hooks.
