Very good travel size, fits well under airplane seats but I've only used it in flight and it was pulled out for inspection each time. There is metal in the top plate and I think that's why it was constantly being tugged at. It doesn't always close easily either. Because of the lining, it looks more like a square when open. This makes it easier to look in and take things out, but makes it harder to close. I've only used it for one trip, two airports and the leather part of the zipper has already torn off because it didn't close easily. So I would just keep that in mind when looking for a good travel backpack.
