Review on Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Square 2-Cup Food Storage Container (4-Pack), Red - Convenient Kitchen Organization and Sealed Freshness by Leanne Young

perfect size - Kitchen & Dining

I bought these because I use them most of the time and there wasn't enough in a set of different sizes. I used to hate having all the different containers, so now I only have Rubbermaid's Easy Find Lids containers. Container quality: I like that the containers are BPA-free and that the lids fold and snap together so they don't hang around in the closet. The only downside is that when you reheat something with oil or tomato sauce, the container takes on a weird grainy texture and a slightly orange hue. I think that only happens if you reheat something like pasta sauce and let it sit too long. I haven't had any issues with leakage, but I also try to prevent it from sitting sideways or upside down. When freezing something in containers, try not to snap them shut, or be careful opening them because if you drop them while frozen, the plastic edges at the bottom of the container will snap. I've been using them for several months and only had a problem once when I was trying to detach two containers and accidentally dropped them on the floor. Sizing Tip: This size is perfect for packing lunches. I used it for lentil soup and also rice with vegetables and some meat. That's enough to fill you up without feeling like you've overeaten. It fits in whatever lunch carrier you use or even in your purse. I usually cook more and freeze leftovers in these containers so I can just grab one and run out the door. This simplifies lunch, saves money and offers healthier alternatives. If I freeze it, I don't even have to worry about refrigeration when I get to work or school. CONVENIENT: If you have 1.25 cup containers, these lids are the same, so this helps in finding the right size lid. . Caps for some other sizes also fit multiple sizes.
