I've spent about 2 months with this duvet and so far I can say it does the job well. Has a good weight (20lbs) and I definitely understand why people swear by weighted blankets. But this particular blanket has a few downsides. At first I was given a queen size but I didn't understand what that meant, meaning it barely covers the top of a queen size mattress so I find my legs dangling at times. So if you're looking for a comforter to hide on the sofa, this will do, but if you're looking for a comforter for your bed, I recommend going one size larger than your mattress. Second, despite the bamboo cooling technology, this blanket will warm up like any other blanket. I can't compare it to any other weighted blanket as this is my first, but when I'm not sleeping with the fan on I sometimes end up with a slightly damp blanket (sometimes I wondered if I would wet myself at night). So if you're looking for a very cool blanket, I don't think this is for you, although I don't think a blanket can stay cool for long. used to the weight of the blanket. Not that it detracts from the benefits of a weighted blanket, but sometimes I wish I had a heavier blanket. (I'm a 6 foot, 195 lb male and have a 20 lb blanket). If you definitely believe in the benefits of a weighted blanket, I recommend taking it a little heavier. Overall, I like it very much as my first weighted blanket. For the price I think this is a good first weighted blanket. I just wish I could go a little taller and heavier. That being said, definitely keep an eye on the prices as there are sure to be better options, but if you're curious I recommend checking it out.
