Tool does upsetting and expanding well but is not as easy to use as claimed. Some force is required to close the block on the tube. You have to push the blocks together before you can position the seesaw. They don't have to be full together, but close. When you tighten the clamp screw, it closes the blocks completely. It is also very difficult to turn the handle to perform the beading/upsetting. I have the Yellow Jacket Deluxe flare tool and it's a lot easier to flare with. It seems like the YJ takes a lot less effort to turn the knob to produce a flash. I bought this tool primarily to make crimps, so I don't think I'll be using it to make lightning anyway. I think a compact Hilmor crimping tool would be easier to use.
