Special installation tips Strong adhesive

This is a good product. Good size, good for tying string if you need it and I love how the lids snap open instead of having to slide down the sides. I have a great installation tip. The adhesive is SUPER STRONG and really hard to remove from the wall once you put it on. Be sure to measure and align and draw a line on the wall before removing the adhesive backing. And now my little trick: TAKE AN XACTO KNIFE or razor blade and cut through the glue and its coating. Snip about 2 inches from both ends, then make a few cuts about 2 inches apart right down the middle. Those 3 2 inch sections are what you want to keep and you want to get rid of the other glue. I tried peeling the liner off these small areas and sticking it to the wall, but it was a bit difficult to get it to stick. It might have worked if I'd put more effort into capturing those sections. I ended up taking my thumb and twisting and loosening all the glue in large areas except for my 2 inch sections. It's almost like rubber glue and you can just squeeze and unroll it from the plastic with little effort. It still sticks very securely to the gutter with small patches of glue, but when it comes time to remove it, it's easier and doesn't tear the entire wall. to each other, it is better to just lean them against each other than to use one of the connector covers. The port covers are wider, so you'll see a bulge on each port that you don't really need. In the same way, I tried to make a 45 degree bevel on the 2 sections of the duct with a hacksaw so I could butt the corners together without additional covers. I didn't do it perfectly so a small gap was visible and I decided to just put on one of the 90 degree elbow caps and be done with it, but I think if you get the cuts right it will look cleaner, to bevel the channel also cut, do not use lids.
