Review on Ford YC3Z-2513560-CAB Tan Cup Holder: Stylish and Functional Car Interior Accessory by Gopal Baltimore

Replaced factory cup holder on 2000 Ford Excursion with brown interior. This dashboard has a darker shade around the stereo, AC controls etc. This cup holder does not match this colour. This drink holder is much lighter. I liked the old original cup holder my truck came with, but couldn't find a new one for sale. On mine, part of the plastic lever broke, preventing it from staying open in its standard position. Everything else about him was still satisfactory. This new cup holder has ribs that slide out to the sides, allowing drinks to be placed further apart than the original. This creates space for a small ashtray between the cup holders. Large and small holders are now swapped. The driver's side mount barely keeps the thin beverage container upright. The holder on the passenger side is the thinner side. For some reason the bottom tray doesn't seem to pop out until it's fully lowered as the bottom of each holder isn't level. Drinks are at an angle on the bottom. It takes some time to get used to; Bring drinks back to this style. This style requires using the bottom rim of your drink to push/pull the handle holding the drink. You can't just stand your drink up straight like the old style. I'm also used to reaching further when riding, but haven't gotten used to the shorter reach yet. What I like most about this model is that the drinks are placed deeper. They no longer block the air conditioning vent at the top. As a result, the drinks do not get as hot as before when the heating is switched on. Installation requires unscrewing the entire frame under the dash. This turned out to be more difficult than I expected and I mostly had to turn the bolts with my fingers as I couldn't easily reach 1/4" with my ratchet. The cages for each cup holder are different so you'll have to replace everything .The new cup holder comes with a mounting frame, you reuse your original screws.I removed the cup holders from the frame to remove the original and install a new one.
