I would only recommend this adapter if you are happy with the noticeable drop in signal quality. I was hoping to use this as a permanent connection to my Xbox 360 and provide a quick connection to my laptop for a dual screen whenever I want it. Unfortunately, when I ran an MS-VGA cable through this adapter, the image sharpness dropped significantly. I've found with some cables lately that with analog signals you're better off spending the money and getting a quality cable the first time. I still gave it 3 stars because it looked good when I used my dual screen laptop and I didn't notice any waste there. It just doesn't deliver HD quality. **EDIT** After reading another review, I found that the quality is slightly better if you have both VGAs plugged into this adapter and another device on the other end. In other words, to use this adapter the way I want, I would have to keep the secondary VGA cable plugged into something at all times to get a clear picture through the main VGA. I'm upgrading it to four stars, but it would be five if it could carry a clear signal on one of the lines without connecting the other to anything.
