This is a great kit to have on hand if you are salvaging old wall panels for new projects, using a new power supply with an old product, or getting a new power supply you just need to know what type of plug you have (I find it easier to measure a plug than a socket). It also makes it easy to hook up my electronics to a desktop variables lab for testing. I didn't realize how useful something like this could be, it smoothes out a bit of frustration when you're always working with consumer electronics.
