So, the Clevermade 6 Can Cooler Sleeve is a cool idea for a product and I was all about it when I first saw it, but now I feel its usefulness and utility is pretty limited.First off, come on, where are you going that you're only going to need six beers? Yes, you could put sodas in this, but. no. But let's say that six cans of beer are enough. They all have to be the same kind or it's not going to be convenient to find the one you want. You would have to take one out and stick it back in the top until you find the one you want, like pumping a quarter over and over again in a vending machine that keeps dropping right through to the coin return. I haven't had the same beer back to back since that bowling alley I went to that didn't have the fixings for a white Russian or any tappers. The product pictures for this thing (which were probably taken 5 years ago based on the choice of Ballast Point) make it look like the golf course is the place to really enjoy the practicality of this tube cooler. But what golf course allows you to so blatantly bring your own beers onto it? None of the ones I've been to. You gotta hide it, and this insulated cylinder is anything but subtle. I guess you could pretend to be an architect and that you have some sweet blueprints in there. Just make sure you know what that slanted desk they use is called or they'll know you're a liar. The functionality of the 6-pack can coozie is so-so, as well. It doesn't retain its shape if it's empty so filling it is kind of a pain. It should be thicker walled and stiffer. Makes me wonder how long it will keep cold drinks cold. It's also not very convenient to get a beer out. It has an overlapping dual flap near the bottom of the tube that you have to snake your hand into to grab a can. It's like trying to deliver a stillborn calf. You can trust me on this - I'm from Wisconsin. One point in this product's favor is that micro-brewed canned beer is becoming more and more common.I guess this could get more use as a supplemental cooler. Like, you have your main cooler with your ice and many beers (maybe some beef sticks or assorted sausages), and then you fill this sucker up with 6 beers when you need to walk away from the campfire to pee. Like how they use a shuttlecraft on Star Trek: short-range missions.
