Very durable. Transparent, like normal crystal clear. The same rules apply to all other standard reels. My only complaint is that if you have herbs or a cloudy liquid in the roller, the color of the flowers is gray and doesn't seem like a good compliment. Anything else with just a light color or bright colors is fine.
