I was so close to sending it back. Like it was in a box, packed up, ready to go back. I plugged in the speaker, hooked it up to the TV with the cables that came with it, and tried turning something on to test. Nothing. When I turned the speaker all the way up, I could hear a very faint whisper when I pressed it to my ear. I was sure it was nonsense. I happened to see a review that recommended trying a different set of cables. I had an extra extra cable so I tried it and Boom! Sound! And it was loud! So if you're using this with something that needs to be plugged into a speaker, get some other cables (which are very cheap to replace anyway) and you'll be fine. Bluetooth connected with no problems. The sound quality is excellent, much better than the square sound I get from my TV. I also love the soundbar which allows me to switch between my TV and phone/tablet/laptop with the push of a button. Very comfortable and I laugh every time he speaks because he sounds like BMO from Adventure Time. So I can only recommend this soundbar. It works great, it's the perfect size if you don't want anything big, and the sound quality is fantastic. Just make sure you have some new extra cables with you if you plan to hook them up.
