My daughter is of average height and weight for her age. I ordered a size for 6-12 months and had to go back a size up. Best suited for 6-12 months. The sleeves are long and the bodice is not tight at all. However, the skirt barely reached the diaper. I had to go back for the next size up. This happened when she was only 11 months old. The return was very easy. After UPS scanned the picked-up package, Amazon refunded me while it was in transit, allowing me to quickly order the next size up. The crown headband is fabric which makes it look a bit odd when you try to put it on your child's head. In general, the dress is beautiful; especially for the price!
