I bought this to use in bed at night when I have enough rest to write something. I've used lap tables and padded desks, but I chose this one because I felt it suited my needs much better. And so it is! Pulling it up is easy Adjusting the height and tilt is easy Pulling out the drawer isn't easy, but if it were, it wouldn't be a good place to put anything! This desk offers me a nice, large work space. My laptop doesn't slide on it. When I tilt the table, I use the "stopper" to make sure the laptop stays on the surface. And the stopper sticks out high enough to hold the laptop in place, but not high enough to interfere with typing or using the integrated trackpad. Ski-shaped legs forgive crumpled linens. I can wear the e side higher than the other to make up for the big crease. I can sit with my legs tucked in, or one leg, or even cross-legged. Best of all, I can adjust it to the tilt and height I want, put my 15 inch laptop in the middle and get to work. No hesitation, no distraction. Great tool for what I use it for. I also tried it while sitting in an armchair in the living room and on the sofa. He works in both places. I also like the tilt feature because if I want to sketch on my iPad Pro, for example, I can position it at the right angle. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but the quality and functionality make it worth it.
