These are great boots for anyone playing soccer with a young child. I'd say that a kid over 7 or 8 years old will probably tear them apart quicker than they'd like, but that doesn't mean they're bad. My 5 year old loves them and they look really good when he's playing on the field. They can be really annoying because they're tight, but once you learn how to untie all the laces, it really isn't that bad. The good thing is that the shoe always sits comfortably on the foot. If they were solved, they would not come loose. My child wears a size 9 but I bought a 10 and they fit well with little room to grow.
