Review on Starlight Goddess Eyeshadow Docolor Pigmented by Beth Walker

You get what you pay for

I guess I wasn't expecting much from something called "Gothic" but the reviews said it looked good and I wanted something quick and cheap needed for Halloween. The palette got to me almost intact, although the photo shows the white in the upper left corner has been rubbed leaving powder on the lid. Some of the other reviews said the pigment is great, but that's not my experience. I've had so much trouble bringing out the color on my eyelids and I'm incredibly pale. The opacity is not great at all. I've been putting this stuff on my eyes like crazy and it still doesn't match the base color. The bright red is more like a diluted pink, while the deep purple is more like a dusty gray. The durability of these eyeshadows also left a lot to be desired. I only wore it for three hours and without touching my face it could wander ANYWHERE. It came out of my eyes and I looked like a raccoon. Did I even have eye powder on my chin? It just doesn't stay. By the end of my very tame, socially distanced Halloween party, I looked like a mess. I wouldn't recommend this palette unless you're just desperate. The price is normal, but it is better not to spend money.

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • drives me crazy
