Review on Premium Human Grade Cat Food Toppers: The Honest Kitchen Mmmixers - Meal Enhancer for Cats by Maria Gonzalez

The cats are really full

We've given our cats Honest Kitchen pet products before, but we were still amazed at how darn fast they finished a bowl of this topper. The boxes are big enough to either split into multiple meals over three days (the maximum time you can store once opened) or as part of a full meal between multiple cats (which we did between our six). Even our picky female in pants ate the little spoon we put in front of her and she's the kind of cat who loves food or death. She had never eaten any other brand of cat food before, even if it contained the same ingredients. Maybe it's the texture this time, because unlike other fish cat foods with limited ingredients, this one doesn't flake. The fish is finely chopped and the texture really reminded me of couscous which has way too much water in it. Do you think it's the agar-agar? Whatever the reason, she ate the portion we gave her the first night and then again the next two nights. That's a great thing because her vet said she needed to gain weight for her health (removed and saved from a horrible situation of abuse by the previous owner, a poor kid). when mixed with That alone is enough for us to buy this product! At $2.99 per box (with a retail price of $35.88 for a box of 12 at the time of this review), the cost of a box exceeds the cost of 5-ounce cans of wet food for some of them. We feed our cats brands. The boxes are slightly larger than these cans, but our cats very rarely use up their portion from the can like they do with this food, so some always ends up in the bin. This Honest Kitchen variant does not contain the added vitamins and minerals found in regular cat food, but may contain additives such as wheat or soy that cats do not need. Fish is not a bad food source for cats when they are forced predators. It's good to include extra protein in your diet (as it should be), and use it as an obviously very tasty treat.
