Review on πŸ”₯ Low Profile Fire Ring Assembly by Firestik Fire Flex by Richard Payne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Now I need a soldering iron.

It's my own fault. I thought it was already assembled. There are several videos on youtube. Now I understand why it wasn't. This device is designed for installation in confined spaces. You may have to remove the pin (connector PL 259). squeezing through the area. There is a version of the MU-8R18 model with the mini-plug attached. I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ. There is no rear seat so I don't have to worry about kids bumping into the cable. I carefully measured several areas. Running the cable from the back of the driver to the front along the roll bars will take you about 14 feet. First, use some paracord. It amazed me why 18 feet was so common. I have watched many videos on proper installation. The position of the antenna and the cable affects the range. If you go behind the passenger to the left driver you need 16. I have a spare tire so 17-18 will work. You can cut it off if you're concerned that a miswound wire will affect reception. Also use with FireStik ii FS 4ft with FireStik Quick Connect. Verified with a Workman SWR meter. All by Raven.
