This splits my single DVI signal to two monitors with the same resolution (and desktops as advertised) but. 1) When I turn off one monitor, the computer recognizes this and turns off the other monitor. So I have to leave both monitors on. I can prevent this by unplugging a monitor _before_ I turn it off (which makes it almost pointless for me to buy one). BUT.2) If the 2nd monitor is not connected to the splitter, I get horizontal interference on the work monitor. Several per second, more with mouse movement. They appear to be a row (or rows) of pixels that change color in a split second. Very distracting. They go away when I reconnect the second monitor. IF I turn off (turn off) one monitor while it's still connected to DVI, the other monitor goes blank and my desktop switches to my VGA monitor with the wrong resolution and it takes a long time. fumbling around, connecting and disconnecting to get the monitors to "see" the signal again. I'm thinking about bringing it back and not having both monitors on all the time.
