I used to be a Fitbit fan but will never buy their products again. I bought a Fitbit and it worked great. However, they released a software update and my clock stopped syncing. Instead, a giant X appeared on my watch that said "Data not erased." I tried several options to fix the problem, spent HOURS updating it and got nowhere. same problem. I spoke to the support team, we ran a small bug fix but we got nothing. I was told they would review options for me. A few minutes into the chat I received an email saying they were sorry my device wasn't working and as the 1 year warranty had expired they had no legal obligation to do anything. Instead, I was prompted to buy a new Fitbit. HERE IS THE PROBLEM. There was nothing on my part that caused a malfunction; no physical damage, careless handling of the watch. Instead, a software bug on THEIR end has caused the clocks to get out of sync, and instead of apologizing and taking responsibility or offering solutions, they're reverting to the standard "sorry, we can't do anything outside of warranty". TOTAL waste. of money. I just got a very expensive paperweight that was ruined by your upgrades. I will never buy a Fitbit product again because I wouldn't trust them not to damage future devices and I certainly wouldn't trust them to take responsibility. Before you buy this check TrustPilot reviews and you will see MANY customers like me who used to be fans but got scammed.
