This is a real genuine leather handbag. It doesn't look like a boutique bag. It looks handcrafted (that's how it is). The leather is of a lower quality which is probably why it is so cheap but rest assured it is real leather. The seams are well finished and look very strong. There are a few threads sticking out around the back zipper, but those are from the inner lining where the zipper is sewn in, so I can easily cut them off, just haven't done it yet. I wanted a smaller bag. and it's perfect. I put my hand on it to balance the scales. This is really a very good bag. I get compliments on that all the time. Lots of compartments and zip pockets. that's exactly what i wanted. A very small annoyance: The main compartment can only be closed with a front buckle. I wish the buckle was decorative and the flap just snapped or something, but to be honest the functional buckle just gives the bag a refined feel so it's no big deal. For the price, this bag can't be beat!
