Review on Saucony Excursion Shield Little Kid Sneaker with Easy Closure - The Perfect Alternative! by Clint Blackman

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The shoes are good, but the sock took off on the first day!

Both parts of the sole (the part of the sole that rolls over the toe making it a running shoe) separated from the upper on day one. I chose to stick them on rather than deal with returns as I bought them on sale and my boy needed spring sneakers and trainers. A day of hardening strong glue is better than a week or more of sending it back and forth. Otherwise the shoes would be great. They are easy to slip on and off but are neat and forgiving. My boy actually runs in it, but also just plays. They have a good but not crazy profile for our mountain trails. I would reconsider this shoe as I think the bad glue on the toes could be isolated by the manufacturer of this batch of shoes. Saucony could do better and Zappos/Revain should know about it.

Pros
  • Non-marking rubber sole
Cons
  • dull packaging
