I bought one of these cat beds about 4 years ago and it has held up incredibly well with our (formerly) wild street cat. We keep it protected under a roof outside. My husband "built" it so it never collapsed. I recently ordered a new tent bed and I'm not very happy with the quality. The tan fabric is of lower quality and not as thick as the original. My first washes great and the Sherpa trim still looks new. I have yet to wash a new one but am not that happy with the quality. We have a new (2nd) wildcat and he has taken over the 'sock' bed so we needed a new 2nd bed. Being outside is great for cats in the wild because if they need to get out of bed quickly they can do so with ease, yet inside is warm and cozy even on the coldest of nights.
