Great overall!: Key covers

Updated 7/13/20. Thanks to Google, I learned how to take screenshots using keyboard shortcuts. The lip is still an annoyance, but my rating is upgraded to a 4.5. I still like it! :-) 07/12/20 - So far, so good! with a problem I'll get to it. I bought it to further protect my investment while not connected to a keyboard. I think the $40 price tag is a little high for a flimsy piece of plastic and a few magnets, but it's the only one I could find for my needs. Plus hey if you're paying $300 for a keyboard. I've only been using it for a day so I can't comment on durability. I will update after using it for a while. It's thin and very light, which is great since the keyboard itself adds to the weight of the iPad. I love the feel of it. It's not slippery, so I don't think it's going to slip out of your hands easily if you're using it independently from the keyboard. My iPad Pro 11 (latest version) fits perfectly. Contrary to some other reviewers, it fit all corners perfectly. It is comfortable. Also my OEM USB charging cable is perfect. Magnets are good and hold up well. I love that it has room for an Apple Pencil. It was really good after figuring out I had to twist the tip to the right. First I had the tip left and was having a hard time removing it. If I look to the right I can push the pencil forward a little (there is a small hole) and pull it out slightly backwards. But that pencil lip is where my only gripe is. I take a lot of screenshots, and because of the way the ends of the "holster" are made, it's almost impossible for me to take a screenshot with one hand with my left, and quite difficult to take a picture with two to make hands. I REALLY want the ends of the "holster" to be more pointed and clipped towards the end of the pencil. If only at this end. Maybe that robs the plastic of its stability?! I do not know. But I have to get over this little annoyance, because overall I like this "cover" very much. I'm really surprised Apple didn't think of that!

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
