My children asked for a rainbow floor. It's perfect because it's not permanent (since I don't think they always want a rainbow bottom!). Easy to assemble. It actually matched the black floor tiles we bought from Costco for another room (teen wanted an exercise mat in his room) so we put plain black tiles under their beds and as a border and it looked really nice! Kids are VERY active and it's perfect for dancing, rolling, wrestling etc. Update 18 months later: This is the floor of our kids room for 18 months. They intentionally damaged a few tiles (with scissors and permanent marker) but otherwise they held up very well. Update years after initial purchase: still valid. Perfect solution. The kids are almost done drawing, so we'll probably replace them with the same ones soon.
