Suitable for taking and printing your favorite photos stored on your phone

This is an affordable printer for images that would otherwise last forever would stay on your phone. The printer itself comes with 5 sheets of 4x6 paper and a test size ribbon. This test material prints exactly 5 photos as advertised. The ink and paper packs, which you can purchase separately, will print exactly the number of photos specified. For example, I bought the Canon KP-108IN Color Ink Paper Set, which contains enough paper and ink for 108 prints. The kit contains 3 ribbons, each of which prints 36 prints. Every time I print 36 it prompts me to replace the ribbon. It is so easy. For iPhone users, there is a free app that you can download from the App Store. I think there is something similar for people with Android phones. You can print sizes other than 4x6. If you have odd shaped photos or perhaps other common aspect ratios like 5x7 or 8x10, simply select the "Border" option in the Canon Print app on your phone. This makes it smaller but remains proportional to the original photo. I like to select the border option for all my photos, even those with a 4x6 aspect ratio, because I know the entire photo is there and won't be cropped a bit. You can also print multiple photos on one sheet, although I haven't tried that myself. I assume the photos will be scaled down to a very small size to fit on 4x6 sheets. Higher resolution photos from a DSLR, for example, tend to print much better on the Selphy than photos from standard cell phone cameras. Because the prints are small, most photos come out reasonably sharp. I tried to type something several times, but the application on my phone just crashed and I went back to the main screen (I have an iPhone 6 Plus). This usually happens when I'm trying to print a very large file, usually from a scan I scanned at a very high resolution. I just reduce the file size and keep trying until it prints. A little annoying, but I think the app can only handle a limited amount of data. Even with the few app crashes I've encountered, at $99 it's a good value IMO. The prints aren't professional quality, but what do you expect for the price? All the prints I made on this thing were pleasing to the eye. Some of my photos come out a bit dull, and if there is a person with dark hair in the photo, the hair will print as a dark spot with no detail. But I don't care since I use that for snapshots. If you're not fussy and don't accept printing for what it is, then this is the perfect gadget to free your photos from your phone and show them to the world. The best part is that this thing is extremely easy to use. This is not a problem. I've read complaints about people running out of ink before they run out of paper, but so far I haven't had this problem.
