I am a brave African American with curly hair. I've been bald for a year and I'm a bit obsessed with cutting my hair. I don't need a single strand on my head, so I press hard when shaving my hair with most razors. I've cut myself several times with other brands. This brand was the best I have ever tried when it comes to shaving with a 3-5 blade razor. I intersect with other brands. (Remember I'm new to shaving). My advice: A moisture strip may not be enough to shave just by dampening the razor. If you have a corset and thick hair, you can dampen your hair to fluff it up a bit and use shaving cream. No matter what style of shaving you choose, this is still the best five-blade razor in my opinion. I would recommend it. If you have fine and/or straight hair, you can probably use this razor without shaving cream.
