I bought this humidifier a little over a year ago and use it quite often in the kitchen and upstairs living room. Since then I've bought several other cheaper humidifiers which make me really appreciate everything this one has to offer. I think this option is really very profitable and I will explain why. This humidifier is much heavier than others I've bought in the $25-$30 range. The components and parts appear to be of very high quality, especially after purchasing the cheaper options which I found incredibly cheap and flimsy. This is a bottom filling style, which means you have to remove the tank from the base, turn it upside down and unscrew the cap to fill. I have never owned or used any other moisturizers as this style doesn't bother me. This thing's features are actually very useful, which is one of the reasons I love it so much. When it's time to add water or clean, you can unplug the unit and take it to the sink. This is especially useful for draining water that inevitably collects at the bottom of the unit. This happens with every humidifier I've ever bought, so being able to just drain it before refilling the reservoir is really nice and handy. My cheaper humidifiers don't have a detachable cord and I didn't realize how much I appreciated that until it became an option. There are also four different settings you can select on the device to suit a variety of needs. The settings are as follows: low, low with light, high with light, high. I LOVE the atmosphere this light provides. It's a beautiful, calming blue and I wear it all the time. Mine basically stays on the low light all the time and I have to refill every other day. I haven't had a single mold problem even after leaving it for a month in the summer. But the base is very easy to clean with the cord removed, and I clean the water tank with a bottle brush. I've also recently bought Aqua Sticks that just sit in the tank and they seem to work as I haven't noticed any odors, dirt, mold etc on this one as the features are well thought out to improve usability and ease of use. I had no problems with mine and highly recommend it!
