Have been using this mirror for over 17 years. I've had 3 or 4 of these in that time. I don't think I ever broke it. It seems to me that I always fall on my right side. I love it. You position it correctly and you can see the lane of traffic on the opposite side, maybe 20 feet behind you. I always run it on the clutch side. If they weren't so expensive I would put them on my bikes too. You'll probably need some sort of adapter for modern sport bikes. My gixxer 1000 04 used an inboard barend adapter, I machined a groove in a heavy barend (with cruise control function) in my 06 r1, ran the first adapter in my 08 cbr1000rr after removing the huge weight in the barend, used a Rhino motorcycle barend sliders with my 14cc BMW S1000RR and used a spacer adapter on my Duke 20 ktm until I replaced the bars and used the internal adapter. This is a quality item.
