Preparation and proper installation are key. That's great!

I've worked with vinyl wrap and vinyl wallpaper many times for projects around my home so I'm sure it helped me get it right. I was worried they wouldn't stick well because some of the reviews said so, but I've been wearing mine for almost a month now and haven't had any sticking issues. I have a large corner whirlpool tub with a smooth bottom that doubles as a shower. Slick floors have scared me far too often when I almost lost my balance in the shower, so I wanted something to grab hold of, but I didn't want the bathmat to have to be constantly rinsed and sprayed with bleach as those things are gross and get dirty. and moldy if not cleaned thoroughly, and I didn't want to sacrifice a permanent chemical treatment or textured finish. I also had my doubts about something like this because I didn't want it to look gaudy or clash with my decor. I just did a tropical leaf style renovation and was thrilled to find these non slip monstera leaf bathroom stickers! A few tips for a proper installation: Make sure the tub has absolutely ZERO dirt, grime, soap scum, residue of any kind. where you want to put them. The smallest particle of dirt or film creates an air bubble and causes it not to adhere properly to the surface. You might have to sweat a little if you want them to work, but it's worth it! After cleaning the surface, apply some rubbing alcohol from a spray bottle and wipe the surface. The alcohol will evaporate quickly if you wipe it off with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Once dry (< 5 minutes) fold back a small portion of the liner on a sticker and carefully lay down that edge. Using the tool provided or a blunt-edged plastic spatula or vinyl rider, run it back and forth across the surface a few times with reasonable pressure (not so much that you stretch or squeeze the vinyl, but you can use a little muscle strength without risk of damage). You may not see air bubbles but they are there, so always try to flatten each sticker several times by moving it in all directions several times to really set it in place. Peel back the backing and smooth each section. You can easily lay them down with the backing completely removed if you put in enough time and effort to flatten each sticker. Do not bathe or get wet for 24-48 hours. The longer you wait, the more likely they are to stay. During this time, go over it several times with the straightener and let it go again before wetting it for the first time. I hope this helps anyone who needs a few additional pointers on long term adhesion. It's very easy and anyone can definitely do it once they know the importance of a clean, dry surface and removing/smoothing out any air bubbles with enough pressure.
