Review on πŸ‘— Sweetmeet Women's Vintage Rockabilly Skater Dresses: Embrace Retro Style with Iconic Women's Clothing by Jessie Lopez

Dresses vary widely in actual size and quality control.

I bought this dress in two sizes (L and XL) and three different colors (dark red, dark blue and green). I received five very different dresses in five different sizes. In red, the letter L goes very well; maybe even too big since I didn't have to unbutton my dress to put it on. XL floated on me. But as I had just bought another dress in the same shade of red I decided to order it again in navy L and green L. The green was tight and lumpy when I wore it; The sleeves were also on the fitted side. Although the color was nice. Not the dark green, but not the teal color that another reviewer got. It was definitely green. The dark blue was tight. It pulled over the stomach, the box pleat on the front center skirt gaped, and the sleeves were too tight. Not only that, it was made from an entirely different type of fabric. It was also a stretch jersey, but it was much heavier and less drape (and therefore less drape). In my estimation, these dresses are poorly controlled for quality. My guess is that the dark red L could very well be the same size as the dark blue XL. The dress itself isn't bad, but I would say that the cut (or the fabric of course) cannot be relied on. My only real complaint about the construction was that the tension was too high for such a stretchy fabric and one of the seams on the sleeve piping was already torn. I can have it repaired and I want the dress to look 1940's style but that doesn't speak to the construction.
