Construction: In terms of construction, they seem to be on a par with water shoes for adults. They have good traction with the sole and good elasticity in the part where the foot enters. Fit: shoes arrived and we tried them on our 2.5 year old right away. They were very tight, more like a 6 or 6.5, and the next day at the water park, after a while he wanted to take them off. He apparently wears the number 7 in all of his other sneakers apart from these. As he has a younger brother who will one day wear them we have decided not to return them. We ordered a size 8 instead. They fit a lot better - very, very slightly loose - but we'd rather have them a little loose than hurt his feet. In general we are very happy with the shoes in general. . I just wish the sizing was closer to standard shoe sizes.
