I am very happy with this camera! The zoom is long (21x), but your shots will be sharp when you go to 21x (aka noise). The macro setting works well and the auto setting is close to perfect in this case. Most of your shots will turn out fine with the Auto setting, especially if you use it like I do for most regular photos. I do like the ability to manually set the aperture, shutter speed, and exposure (Fn overlay) though. It also has enough settings (like fireworks, sports, and "perfect face") to play around with. I have yet to use the Wi-Fi feature, but I'm sure it's as easy as connecting to a computer and downloading the software. However, I've read other previews that say the WiFi mode drains the battery quickly. (Bonus stars for this camera because you can stream images straight to your phone via the free app, control the camera remotely from the same device, or just stream the live view to your phone or tablet to use as a baby monitor. It can Also Send photos and movies directly to Evernote, Facebook, Picasa, YouTube, Dropbox, or email. I can still edit them. Battery life has lasted a long time for me too. Even turning the camera on and off multiple times over the course of the day of the day and lets you start recording with one touch, plus you can take up to 6 photos while recording. I like that I don't have to change the video mode to switch from movies to photos. The camera also has an LCD Touchscreen and you can scroll through images for preview like on a phone or tablet I prefer manual buttons so my screen doesn't get dirty but this one o Still a pra ctic function that I use from time to time. The screen is also quite large and the lens is better than most scopes, making the camera a lot bigger and heavier than I'm used to. It doesn't fit in my pocket like my previous ultra-thin camera, but compared to all the great options, I'm willing to ignore those inconveniences. (I also like red - my second choice would be black, but I figured it would be easier to find at the bottom of my purse. It's just personal preference.) There's no external battery charger, so you'll have to (too short) the cable that comes with the camera to charge it from a computer or laptop. For me it's not a problem as I'm uploading photos and videos anyway since it's charging. However, there are rechargeable batteries and/or external chargers that you can buy as an alternative. The flash will pop up (there is a button just below). It's plastic and spring loaded (aka brittle) so be careful. I can see it breaking very easily. The idea is a good one though, as it gives more indirect light instead, but the flash can still be a bit harsh. I mainly use the flash on cloudier days or to remove shadows on my face and it works well in both conditions. The camera performs worst in low light. I've yet to get a good shot in low light without the help of a flash, but then again, what's the flash for, right? Overall this camera worked very well (especially for a newbie like me who just wants to take photos of my family, the places we visit etc.), easy to use and packed with lots of fun features. This is a great all round camera that I recommend.
