Just got 2 of these 3 days ago for my two teenage sons lunch box and finally got a chance to test them at home today. I poured boiling water into the thermos (only 1/2 full), screwed the lid back on and set it aside, reheating the savory congee until bubbles appeared, about 10-15 minutes. Without turning off the stove (just lowering it), I drained the hot water from the thermos, added very hot porridge, and screwed the lid back on. I only filled it halfway to test it. It was 7:40 a.m. I only remember at 5:40pm, I opened it, and the porridge was still warm even after 10 hours! Amazing heat retention! Not hot, not too warm, but still warm enough not to have cold food! It is 10 o'clock! Portion is great for high schoolers and very stylish! I hope they make them in more colors in the future. The folded spoon is a nice addition, but it's short so I recommend ordering a separate travel utensil that's longer and you'll still need a fork/noodle stick. As for the anti-spill protection, I can't comment on that as my kids haven't used it yet, but it's a thermos for solid foods. Highly recommended! Thinking of getting a few more for our family's winter ski/snowboard lunch break!
