I've used it a few times when I had particularly bad acne (clogged comedones, cysts, etc.). On the other hand, it smells great and refreshing when you apply it and you really have a clean face afterwards. However, my skin is sensitive and while 0.5% salicylic acid works for me, 2% might have been a little too much. It did not prevent or help acne, and I was hesitant to use it, not knowing how much of my subsequent skin irritation (if any) was due to it. Warning - DO NOT get this substance in your eyes. ! It will burn painfully and your eye will be red for a while. (Another factor that made me wonder if my skin could handle it.)
