Review on NavePoint Cat6 (CCA) Computer Accessories & Peripherals for Cables & Interconnects by Tyrazz Abouzar

Easy work with ethernet cables

Bought for a few short runs (50 feet) for my home network. Since I'm broke and have lots of connectors lying around, I also spent hours crimping RJ45 connectors on these cables to make short 6" patch cords for my panel. So I know the cable quite well and thought I'd write a review. The sheath has a good thickness. The inner plastic core is annoying, but is mandatory for all CAT6 cables, so I can't fault anything about this product. The nylon cord feels of good quality. It's easy to cut both when crimping and punching the cable. The jacket fits both brands of RJ45 plugs that I've used, including some cheap Chinese closed type plugs designed for CAT5 and some are CAT6 pass-thru-hole connectors with strain relief I've had no trouble plugging cables into my patch panel or keystone jacks. Since I'm using this in the living area, I had to fish it out through some chipboard and wire clips. The cable clips have worn away some of their coating on the white jacket. I chose white to match the existing ethernet in the house and I have no regrets. Catching the wire wasn't difficult. The jacket is holding up well. The payout of the box was good too; It had just the right amount of friction and I had no issues with twisting or tangling. Please note that I don't have any sophisticated signal quality equipment, just a simple network tester to make sure I've done everything right. My switch has thrown 1000MB for all my gigabit devices and I haven't experienced any connectivity issues. I will definitely buy this brand again.
