This cable is perfect for my quite old but still very functional 2012 MacBook Air! The extension cable that came with my 2012 MacBook Air stopped working and I started looking for a replacement. Most replacement cables are close to $50, but this one costs less than half that, and I found out. Well, if it powers the laptop, that's all I really care about! The only downside is that the 45wt adapter charging cable isn't as long as the power cord that originally came with my MacBook Air, but that's a very minor inconvenience for me.
