I bought this pillow as a birthday gift for my mother who I'm sure loves bread more than her kids. It arrived quite compressed but regained its shape almost immediately after being removed from the box. Also, it's very similar to a real loaf of bread, which can give you that "Uncanny Valley" feel. Shape over time (I'll update but she's had it for about a month and so far so good). However, the size is deceptive. It's a lot smaller than it appears in the photo (the length of a normal king size pillow and not as wide) unless the person in the photo is a small child. All in all it was a great gift. My mom was just as surprised as I thought and now she's sleeping with him.
